Here’s a small taste of what we will do this week:

Language Arts: We will learn about and practice writing P words, sing songs and read books about pie, pumpkins, picnics, penguins, Pinkalicious, and pirates, recite our poem about Polly the Penguin, stamp our sight words (see, two) and practice spelling them every day, write upper and lower case letters, write in our journals, sing about letter sounds, make P books, and continue our literacy center rotations.

Math: This week we will continue Chapter 2: Patterns.  We will identify, copy, and extend rhythm, movement, color, and shape patterns.  We will also count by 1s, 5s, and10s (to 100!), work with tally marks, and graph the weather.

Bible: This week we will read the story of Noah.  We will read the Bible, sing Who Built the Ark?, review the verses we have learned so far this year (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 23:1,  1 John 1:9a, and Ephesians 6:1), and pray together every day.

Science, Social Studies, Art, and Misc: We will learn about how ways people are alike and different, talk about positive character traits, learn about national symbols, continue class jobs, attend art class, music class, library, computer lab, and PE, explore the classroom during choice time, celebrate the rainbow, and more!!!
