Hi Parents,
Your children are resting up for this afternoon's Harvest Party. They are so excited!! While they rest, I thought I'd post a few reminders/updates:
1. Tomorrow is pajama day! It's optional, of course.
2. Homework is due tomorrow (including the October home activity calendar)
3. Our sweet librarian let everyone check out a book yesterday even though not everyone brought back last week's book. I will send those books home today. That means some of you will have TWO library books at home. We will not have a library time next week (min. day + book fair), so your books will be due Wednesday, November 13th.
4. We will not have choice time today (HARVEST PARTY), which is when I get a chance to read 1:1 with the kiddos. I will read with your children tomorrow and send new read-at-home books home in tomorrow's folders.
5. Yesterday's field trip was fantastic!! Thank you to all who participated!!!
Have fun tonight :)

Wish List
Hello Parents!
Wish List Time :)
We are in need of more prizes for our prize box. I offer small prizes for reading the take-home books to me, helping out in the classroom, and filling out the "caught being a good friend" sticker chart (I started these charts on Monday). Small bouncy balls, Slinkys, and stamps are particularly popular, but the students also love getting pencils, erasers, small figures, stickers, and pretty much any little prizes they can get their hands on :). The Dollar Tree is a great place to find small inexpensive toys. Something like this would be great, too:

or
http://www.orientaltrading.com/mega-deluxe-toy-assortment-a2-5_715-11-0.fltr?xsaleSku=4/8037
We would also love to have more sidewalk chalk. The students love it and go through it very quickly on the playground! Amazon sells it in bulk (Costco probably does, too):
http://www.amazon.com/Worldwide-Color-Splash-Giant-Sidewalk/dp/B000GOV04A/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1381878372&sr=8-9&keywords=sidewalk+chalk
