In the remaining weeks we will focus on cumulative review, year-end assessments, and 1st grade readiness.

Bible
This week’s Bible lesson is called Learning from God’s Word.  We will sing worship songs, recite and review many of this year’s weekly verses, rehearse If Jesus Lived Inside My Heart (your child’s line is in his/her folder today!) for our little graduation day performance, and pray together every day.

Science, Social Studies, Art, and Misc.
This week we will continue our physical science unit.  We will also continue to do our team jobs, attend art class, music class, library, computer lab, and PE, explore the classroom during choice time, and focus on friendships and community building.

Your child’s homework this week is to practice singing these songs until they are memorized.  On our class blog you will find links to YouTube videos of these songs that will help your child with the rhythm and melody.

Here are the lyrics:

LIFE’S A HAPPY SONG (all school)

Everything is great, everything is grand
I got the whole wide world in the palm of my hand

Everything is perfect, it’s falling into place
I can’t seem to wipe this smile off my face
Life's a happy song when there’s someone by my side to sing along

When you’re alone life can be a little rough
It makes you feel like you’re three foot tall
When it’s just you, well times can be tough
When there’s no one there to catch your fall

(Break)

Everything is great, everything is grand
I got the whole wide world in the palm of my hand
Everything is perfect, it’s falling into place
I can’t seem to wipe this smile off my face

Life smells like a rose
with someone to paint and someone to pose

Life’s a piece of cake
with someone to pedal and someone to break

Life is full of glee
with someone to saw and someone to see

Life's a happy song when there’s someone by my side to sing along

I’ve got everything that I need right in front of me
Nothing’s stopping me nothing that I can’t be
With you right here next to me

Life’s a piece of cake
with someone to give and someone to take

Life’s a piece of pie
with someone to wash and someone to dry

Life’s an easy road
with someone beside you to share the load

Life is full of highs
with someone to stir and someone to fry

Life’s a leg of lamb
with someone there to lend a hand

Life’s a bunch of flowers
with someone to while away the hours

Life’s a fillet of fish
hey! —yes it is

Life's a happy song when theres someone by your side to sing along

(Break with glockenspiel--dancers)

I’ve got everything that i need right in front of me
Nothing’s stopping me nothing I can’t be
With you right here next to me

I’ve got everything that I need

Right in front of me!

BEAUTIFUL THINGS (kinders only)

All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all

All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

Chorus:
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

Chorus (two times)

You make me new, You are making me new
You make me new, You are making me new

Chorus
