Important Dates and Classroom Info
Hi Parents,
**Hooray! Wilder Ranch finally gave us a date for our Farm Animal Tour!! We will visit Wilder Ranch on Friday, March 14th. Please let me know if you’d like to drive; I’ll send home permission slips next week.
A few more things:
1. If your child isn't feeling well, please keep him or her at home. We share a lot of things in Kindergarten, but we should try not to share germs :).
2. Tomorrow is Superhero day! Your child is invited to come to school dressed as his or her favorite superhero (or make up one of his or her own).
3. Next Thursday, February 27th is a minimum day AND Open House. Please pick up your child at 12 and return at 7pm to check out Room 404 and the 1st grade classrooms. We'll see you all then!
4. The Vomvokids and I thought it would be fun to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with a short play (2-3 minutes, in the classroom) and a little party on Friday, March 7th at 1:00. You are all invited! We started rehearsing the play yesterday. I will send home your child's lines on Monday. Please let me know if you would like to make a birthday cake/cupcakes or provide Seuss-themed plates and/or napkins for the party. Thanks!
5. Friday, March 7th is also the TLCS dinner and silent auction. Please see TLCS's website for more information. I hope to see you all there!!
6. Usually, I send all student work home right away (unless it's displayed in the classroom), but between Open House and our upcoming ACSI and WASC accreditation visit, I have decided to hold on to all student work for the time being. I want to show our visitors all the wonderful things your children are learning in Kindergarten. Please come by the classroom any time before or after school if you would like to review your child's work. Of course, I will send everything home eventually.
7. Our Kindergarten/Sunday School Lost and Found bin is overflowing. Please look through soon; there might be something in there you didn't even know your child was missing! Next week we will empty it into the school's big Lost and Found Bin.
8. Your children love to draw on the playground with sidewalk chalk, but they go through the chalk really quickly. Could you please donate some? We would really appreciate it.
Thank you!!

In lieu of the regular weekly homework for the weeks of 2/3 and 2/10, I would like you to help your child create a mailbox for Valentine’s Day (Friday, February 14th). Please turn it in on or before Friday, February 14th. Pinterest, as always, has some amazing ideas:
Also, if you plan on helping your child make Valentine’s Day cards for his or her classmates (making cards is optional), please be sure to include all of the students in our class. We will exchange cards on Friday afternoon (2/14) as part of our Valentine’s Day celebration. I will put a class list in your child's folder on Monday, 2/3.
